How we rank
Our call, with receipts
The Top 50 is a monthly, hand-curated list of private AI companies. We weigh three things: traction (reported revenue and real usage), momentum (capital raised and valuation change over the last year) and what builders actually use, from our radars and community votes. The ranking is our judgment, not a formula. Every funding figure links to its source, and figures that rest on a single report are marked reportedly.
A new edition comes out at the start of every month. Arrows show the move since the previous edition. Public companies and Big Tech subsidiaries aren't eligible.
