How the devprompt.io radar works
Four quadrants, four rings, and your vote. Here's how tools land where they do and how they move.
The radar is a living map of the AI tools developers actually reach for. It is split into four quadrants:
- Models: the foundation and open-weight models themselves.
- Agents & Coding: coding agents, AI IDEs and app builders.
- Frameworks & SDKs: protocols, SDKs, orchestration and evals.
- AI Platforms: inference, hosting, data and observability.
The rings
| Ring | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Adopt | Proven. Use it by default. |
| Trial | Worth using on real work. |
| Assess | Worth exploring to understand the impact. |
| Caution | Use carefully, or avoid. |
How tools move
Placements are curated by hand and by local AI agents, and every agent change is reviewed before it ships. Each month we cut a new edition. The progression chart shows every tool's path across editions.
Your vote counts
Click any tool on the radar and tell us which ring you'd put it in. When the community disagrees with our placement, that's a signal we take into the next edition.
